Tiwul”, Traditional Food From Wonogiri

Rounded Rectangle: IDENTIFICATIONTiwul, is a traditional food from Wonogiri. Tiwul has a similar taste with rice but the texture is finer than rice and the shaped like small balls. The special characteristic of tiwul is where you can taste a sweet and savory of it.

 Tiwul is made ​​from dried cassava / gaplek. Cassava is the alternative food for some Indonesian while waiting for their rice to yield. But for the people of Wonogiri, cassava has been their staple food since long time ago. Through processing, they make tiwul out of cassava as a food in place of rice. The form is composed of clumps of small granules and slightly chewy make this special food is a delicious food.
Tiwul have been identified with poverty, now transformed into a souvenir of the most sought after. Tiwul managed to boost the prestige image of the boundaries. Memories of the romance of the past, treated as fine grains tiwul enjoyed. Food that was used as a substitute for rice is now a snack with sugar-sweetened coconut.

How to process cassava into tiwul is quite simple. First of all, sweet potatoes peeled and then dried in the sun to dry. Dried cassava is called gaplek. Then dried cassava is mashed up into flour. In antiquity, this process is done in a simple and old. Cassava crushed using a stone mortar to a powder. But now there are special milling machine, making it faster and more uniform fineness of flour. Cassava flour - also called tapioca flour - is then given a mixture of water and sugar, then stir in the Tampah to form tiny droplets, much like grains of rice.

Then do a process called "nginteri" by rotating tampah. sift process is like a grain of rice. Tiwul granules placed inside Tampah, then sifted and tossed up into coarse and fine grains separate. It takes special skills to do this process.

After that, tiwul fine grain leather is placed in a bamboo steamer. One thing that should not be overlooked is, needs to be made a hole in the middle tiwul which functions as a way out of the water vapor when steamed. Once ready, tiwul steamed for about 30 minutes. To obtain a more savory flavor, steamed tiwul using firewood.

My Strong and Comfortable Motorcycle
 
I have a favorite goods, that is my motorcycle. The brand name is Yamaha Mio. I love my motorcycle, because it has been faithfull accompany me for four years recently. The body of my motorcycle is covered by black color with white striples. The type of my motorcycle is automatic motorcycle.  It is not brand new motorcycle for me, because my motorcycle was made in 2009 and I bought it in 2012.

I think this motorcycle is very comfortable although, it is belonged to be an economical motorcycle. I can go everywhere with an economical fuel. Besides the convience and economical fuel that offered by Yamaha, there is an advantage that I feel from my motorcycle that is about the speed. I can go fast with my motorcycle and arrive in my destination in time. However, it needs to be serviced onces in two months, in order to make my motorcycle still comfort to ride. My motorcycle is vey useful.I usually use my motorcycle to go to my hometown, go to the campus and go to Ungaran to give private lesson.

A Wonderful Trip in Solo

ORIENTATION
Tell who,what happend,when,where 

In China New Year day, I Went to Solo to spend my holiday and I also visited my friend from Senior High School, Sinta Ayu Lestari. Sinta told me that she she would take me look around Solo and its sorroundings.
FIRST EVENT
I spent my first night in Solo by eating “ Bakso Bakar Pak Min” in Alkid or Alun-alun Kidul, Solo. It was very spicy but, delicious food. After  that, we went to the mosque to pray isya’ and continued our trip to Lampion festival in Pasar Gede, Solo. That was a beautiful place. In there, we could see many form and kind of Lampion, from the small and common lampion until the biggest and strange. So, we didn’t waste our time and took a picture as much as possible.
SECOND EVENT
In the next morning, we planned to go to Karanganyar by motorcycle. We will visit “ Jumog” waterfall. It took about one hour from Solo to Karanganyar by motorcycle. We chose to use motorcycle because we can enjoy beautiful scenery in our trip to Karanganyar. When we arrived at Jumog waterfall, we were suprised to see the beautiful view of the waterfall.  The water was so clear and the weather was so cold.
REORIENTATION AND CODA
The third day there, we decided to go home. When we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted because of the trip, but we were so happy.
